Come and hob-nob with Hollywood greats (look-alikes) on July 16 from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Museum. The opening of “Old Hollywood and the Desert Club” will feature history and artifacts from the Desert Club’s fise and fall. Bring your cameras for photo ops with “Mae West, Lucille Ball, and Clark Gable”.

Saturday morning will find author Amy Goodpaster Strebe at the Museum to tell about the women pilots of World War II. She has published a book on the subject of these brave and under-honored women. Come over from 10:30 - noon. It’s free. See the “Women and Flight” exhibition in the upstairs gallery.
Circling The Salton Sea Members Only Bus Tour. Great day and lots of interesting sights. Tour highlights included the mud pots, Salvation Mountain, the Wildlife Refuge and the newly open North Shore Yacht Club.

The La Quinta Historical Society is presenting a special panel discussion entitled “La Quinta Young Pioneers: Growing up in the 1950’s”
Come to the La Quinta Museum and celebrate the opening of the newest exhibit “A Stitch in Time” Presenting various types of quilts from yesteryear through today.
The exhibit opens April 16 and runs through June 30.
Join the La Quinta Museum for “A Frog in the Blog” by Karma Wilson and Joan Rankin, with a related activity to follow the story. This story teaches preschool aged children counting with fun illustrations and whimiscal rhymes.
