A speaker from the Lincoln Memorial Shrine in Redlands will talk about Abraham Lincoln at the Museum on Saturday (17th) at 2 p.m.  Enjoy the Lincoln exhibit and hear the interesting lecture, all free.

La Qinta useum’s newest exhibit opened recently to much excitement.  Take a look at the great model trains, Southern Pacific posters, and train memorabilia.  The Southern Pacific, which replaced the Bradshaw Stage, dominated the development of the Coachella Valley over the past 150 years.  As always, free to the public Tuesdays - Saturdays from 10-4.  The exhibit runs through early January.

The opening reception for the new exhibit will take place on Friday (9th) from 5-7 p.m.  Corey Wylde (Orange Empire Railway Museum) will speak briefly on the Southern Pacific Railroad and its effect on the Coachella Valley.  A model railway layout and other trail goodies are featured in the second floor exhibit gallery.  Come on down for the excitement, free for all ages…..
